President Donald Trump announced via social media that he will convene in the White House Situation Room on Friday to render a final decision regarding a potential deal with Iran.
In his statement, Trump outlined several critical components that a prospective agreement must encompass. These stipulations include Iran's commitment to forego the development of nuclear weapons, the restoration of passage through the Strait of Hormuz, the clearance of any naval mines, the cessation of the U.S. blockade against Iran, and the U.S. dismantling and destruction of Iran's highly enriched uranium stockpile.
Trump further specified that no financial transactions would occur until further notice. He indicated that other, less significant matters have already been resolved.
"I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination," Trump stated on the Truth Social platform.
