Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to launch attacks on targets located in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon.
These areas, identified as a significant stronghold for Hezbollah, are known collectively as Dahiyeh.
The directive was issued in a statement released on Monday. The specifics of the targets or the nature of the planned military actions were not immediately disclosed.
Dahiyeh has previously been designated by Israel as a key area of operations for the Hezbollah militant group.
