Presidential Leadership Council Member Vows Continued Fight Against Terrorism, Houthis After Officer's Assassination

Abdulrahman Al-Muharrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, has condemned the assassination of Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh, commander of the First Brigade of the National Resistance, stating it was a cowardly act of terrorism. He reaffirmed that such crimes will not deter the armed forces from their ongoing battle against terrorism and the Houthi militia.


Al-Muharrami's remarks came in a message of condolence following the death of Brigadier General Wahesh, who was killed by an explosive device while performing his national duty on the West Coast front. He expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss, considering Wahesh's passing a significant blow to the military institution and armed forces due to his extensive national and military contributions across various fronts.


He praised the martyr's virtues and patriotic stances, highlighting him as an exemplary, courageous field commander who consistently stood on the front lines and played a crucial role in numerous military and national operations. Al-Muharrami noted that Brigadier General Wahesh was among the prominent Tihami leaders who participated in the battles to liberate the West Coast from Houthi control and confront the Iranian project.


Al-Muharrami added that the martyr etched heroic stances throughout years of conflict, remaining steadfast in positions of honor and bravery until he fell as a martyr while fulfilling his national duty. He emphasized that the crime which claimed Brigadier General Wahesh's life will not impact the morale of the armed forces, but rather strengthen their resolve to continue performing their national duties and pursuing terrorist groups and armed organizations that target the country's security and stability.
