US Completes Seventh Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iran

The U.S. military announced late Thursday the conclusion of its latest series of strikes against Iran, a campaign reportedly ordered by President Donald Trump and marking the seventh consecutive night of American military action.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that its forces utilized a range of assets, including fighter aircraft, aerial drones, and warships, in these operations. The targets identified included surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage facilities, and maritime capabilities.

In response, Iran reportedly launched attacks on U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf region on Friday. Both nations have been targeting infrastructure, and shipping in the Strait of Hormuz has faced further disruptions.

Iranian state media indicated that at least five bridges in the south of the country were struck in U.S. attacks on Friday. Reports from Bandar Khamir, a southern port, suggested seven fatalities resulting from attacks on bridges, with the local train station also being hit. Further east, an airport in Iranshahr, a province bordering Pakistan, was also reportedly targeted.

Authorities in Kuwait, a U.S. ally, confirmed that one of the nation's power generation and water desalination facilities was damaged in an Iranian attack. President Trump has previously reiterated threats to strike Iranian energy targets and has also alluded to targeting bridges in the coming week.

The conflict, which began with U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28, followed by Iranian retaliatory strikes on Israel and Gulf states hosting U.S. bases, has resulted in thousands of casualties and displaced millions. The ongoing war has led to increased oil prices and significant volatility in global markets.
