Lacroix, 26, has been a standout performer for Crystal Palace, even earning international call-ups for France thanks to his impressive club displays. New Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso is said to be a big admirer, believing Lacroix's speed, physical presence, and ball-playing ability perfectly suit his tactical system.
The defender himself is reportedly eager for the move to Stamford Bridge and has already agreed personal terms. The main hurdle remaining is for the two clubs to finalize a transfer fee.
