Los Angeles Police Department detectives are urgently seeking public assistance to locate four young children allegedly abducted by their mother from their Reseda residence on Saturday. An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday evening by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the LAPD.
The children were last seen departing their home near the 6600 block of Reseda Boulevard at approximately 5:10 p.m. with their mother, Mehrangez Sangalieva. According to the Amber Alert, a court order was in place prohibiting Sangalieva from removing the children from the home while an investigation was ongoing. Specific details of that investigation were not provided.
The missing children have been identified as Anas Mirova, a 9-year-old boy with brown eyes and brown hair, standing 4 feet 2 inches and weighing approximately 60 pounds; Zuhal Mirzoda, a 5-year-old girl; Maryam Mirova, a 2-year-old girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, approximately 3 feet tall; and Rayana Mirova, a 1-year-old girl weighing about 20 pounds.
Sangalieva is described as a 31-year-old female with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing about 155 pounds. Authorities believe she may be driving a gray 2011 Toyota Prius with the license plate number 6SWK678.
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the children or Sangalieva to contact the LAPD's West Valley Division at (818) 374-7611.
