Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Atletico Madrid forward Giuliano Simeone, facing potential competition from Manchester City as well.
The 23-year-old Argentine has been making waves in Spain and with his national team, catching the eye of several Premier League clubs. However, Atletico Madrid is reportedly hesitant to let the talented attacker depart.
According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham, under manager Roberto De Zerbi, have been exploring a move for Simeone, with the Spurs boss said to be a big fan of his energy, versatility, and attacking prowess. Simeone's qualities are believed to be a strong fit for De Zerbi's tactical setup, and he could bolster Tottenham's attacking options.
It's not just Spurs in the race, though. Manchester United and Manchester City also reportedly made inquiries about Simeone during the summer transfer window. Both clubs possess the financial muscle to pursue a deal, but Atletico's stance on selling could prove to be a significant hurdle.
Simeone has become an important player for his father, Diego Simeone, at Atletico Madrid, and the club has no strong desire to part ways with him. Giuliano himself is said to be content in Madrid, adding another layer of complexity for any Premier League suitors. Any potential move to England would depend heavily on Atletico's willingness to negotiate and Simeone's own desire for a switch.
