Man Utd Fans Cheer Dalot's Exit in Villa Thriller

Manchester United fans made their frustration crystal clear at Old Trafford on Sunday, with loud cheers erupting when full-back Diogo Dalot was substituted off during a chaotic 4-4 draw against Aston Villa.

The reaction from the Old Trafford crowd was harsh. When Dalot's number was shown on the 66th minute board, signaling his replacement by Patrick Dorgu, a noticeable wave of cheers echoed through the stands. This wasn't applause, but a sarcastic expression of frustration following another shaky defensive performance.

Dalot endured a difficult match. Manchester United found themselves trailing 2-0 within the first four minutes due to goals from Alisson and Nicolas Jackson. Although United managed to pull level at 2-2 before halftime with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Youri Tielemans, Dalot's second half quickly turned sour.

In the 47th minute, the Portuguese defender committed a clumsy foul on Alisson inside the penalty area, leading to a penalty converted by John McGinn. Just six minutes later, Leon Goretzka scored Villa's fourth, leaving Dalot visibly exposed and prompting manager Michael Carrick to make the substitution.

The change proved to be a turning point. Trailing 4-2, United staged a remarkable comeback, fighting back from a two-goal deficit for the second time. Dalot's replacement, Dorgu, was instrumental in the late surge, contributing a goal and an assist. He first set up Joshua Zirkzee for a goal in the 91st minute and then, in the 96th minute, powered home a dramatic stoppage-time header to secure an astonishing 4-4 draw.
