The Iran-backed Houthis have admitted establishing prisons inside the security and intelligence services, designated for anyone who disagrees with them or who exposes the corruption and terrorism of their leaders and supervisors.
According to the security media of the Houthi Ministry of Interior, members of the illegal Sanaa parliament were allowed to visit these prisons, despite their repeated denials of the existence of such prisons that violate human rights and violate Yemeni law.
Prisons inside the Houthi security and intelligence apparatus violate the law, the constitution, and all human rights covenants, especially since there are steps for litigation that begin with imprisonment for a specified period by order of the prosecution, and then the accused are referred to the court, which serves the prison sentence, but the group has established itself as a judge and a jailer at the same time.
Intelligence information had confirmed that Houthis possessed secret prisons within the security authorities, especially inside the Central Security Camp, which turned it into a large prison. No one knows who is inside, their numbers, and ways to deal with them.
