Disputes within the Houthis’ wings push Mohammed Ali to refuse to attend the Prophet’s Birthday event

Member of the Political Council and Head of the Houthi People's Committees, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, refused the militia leaders' participation in the celebration of the Prophet's birthday in Sana'a as a result of the presence of anti-partisan figures within the movement, among whom the clash reached assassination.

Sources close to Ali al-Houthi said that as soon as he learned about the presence of Ahmed Hamed and a number of leaders alongside the Iranian ambassador to the Houthis, Hassan Erlo, he became angry, and went to Al-Mahwit Governorate immediately and organized his own celebration there.

The sources pointed out that the position of Ali al-Houthi confirms the great differences between the Houthi wings, which have reached an irreversible stage, especially since the matter reached blood between them after a war of breaking bones that lasted for years.

Sources in Sana’a revealed last week, that the disputes between the Houthi wings had entered a dangerous juncture, especially after previous media leaks revealed that the director of the Houthi leadership office, Ahmed Hamid, controlled all the group’s decisions, especially the decisions issued by the office of Mahdi Al-Mashat.
