Iran-backed Houthis take hotels and civilian residential in Hodeidah as a shelter for their members

Iran-backed Houthis have stormed hotels and a number of houses and farms in Jabal Ras and Al-Jarrahi District in Hodeidah Governorate, and forced their owners to convert them to the shelters and headquarters of their elements to be a launching pad for carrying out military operations against the joint forces.

Eyewitnesses said that the Houthis forced the hotel owners to shelter their members in them, barricaded themselves in their roofs and transformed them into military barracks, noting that those who refuse are threatened with blowing up their house and hotel.

Sources said that the Houthis are seeking to turn these hotels into weapons depots and operational headquarters, where the Houthis move military equipment between homes and civilian properties.
