On 17 May the members of the Security Council were briefed by UN Special Envoy Grundberg alongside OCHA Acting Director Mudawi and Major General Beary.
The members of the Security Council welcomed the efforts by all parties to uphold the truce, in particular the Government of Yemen’s flexibility in enabling the entry of fuel ships into Hodeida and enabling flights between Sana’a and Amman, and they encouraged the parties to continue progress toward carrying out the terms of the truce, especially in meeting to discuss opening roads to Taiz. They urged the parties to abide by the truce and extend it in coordination with the UN Special Envoy.
