Informed military sources revealed that disputes were simmering between the Chief of Staff of the Houthi Defense Ministry, Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, and a number of military leaders, including the commander of the Third Brigade, Presidential Protection Fouad Al-Imad, due to Al-Ghamari's accusation of those leaders of corruption and failure.
According to the sources, Al-Ghamari paid a surprise visit to the 3rd Brigade of presidential protection, and an argument broke out between him and the brigade leadership due to the brigade's lack of logistical, military and personnel readiness.
The brigade, which consisted of 2000 fighters, and 400 others were added, and dues were given to them by the Houthi Ministry of Defense, only 90 fighters were present in it, which prompted Al-Ghamari to form a military committee to look into the brigade's situation. The sources said.
The sources added that the military committee that was assigned to look into the brigade’s situation submitted a report burdened with the corruption of the brigade commander, including that the brigade is out of readiness, and its crews and military vehicles were personally distributed to Houthi leaders outside the brigade.
The Chief of Staff gave the commander of Major General Fouad Al-Imad a month to restore the brigade's readiness and return the looted from inside.
