The Qaifa tribes accused the Brotherhood's Islah party that controls the Ma'rib governorate of covering up the perpetrators of terrorist and criminal crimes that affect citizens, and of supporting the perpetrators to escape punishment.
The sheikhs of Qaifa and Baydha said in a memorandum of complaint submitted to the Public Prosecutor that the Yemen's Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, released one of the murderers of their sons in Marib by transferring the case to the third military district, and facilitating an escape, although it is not within its jurisdiction to decide on such cases.
The sheikhs of Qaifa demanded the Attorney General to form a judicial committee of the heads of the specialized public and criminal prosecutions in Marib governorate to investigate into the case.
Activists circulated a video clip showing that armed elements loyal to Islah in Marib killed a resident of Qaifa area, looted his car and mutilated his body.
