The Houthi's Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohammed Hussein Majd Al-Din El-Mu'ayidi, has acquired thousands of food baskets provided by Doha through the Qatar Red Crescent, to the Houthis in Yemen.
Documents circulated by activists on social media revealed that the food baskets that the Qatar Red Crescent said were for the poor and as aid to the staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and then were distributed under the supervision of El-Mu'ayidi to his family and companions, but the Ministry staff get nothing out of it.
According to the documents, El-Mu'ayidi listed dozens of names, which are not eligible, in the aid statements until they are paid to them on a regular basis.
Reports had previously accused El-Mu'ayidi of looting the aid provided to the ministry for the benefit of the Houthi leaders, under the guidance of the director of Mahdi Al-Mashat's office, Ahmed Hamed.
Reports indicated that El-Mu'ayidi, under the direction of Ahmed Hamed, seizes YR12 billion annually from the fund's revenues.
