KSrelief Clears 605 Houthi Mines in Yemen in One Week

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) successfully cleared 605 mines planted by the Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen during the fourth week of June 2023, SPA said.

This includes the clearance of 125 anti-tank mines and 480 unexploded ordnance as part of the ongoing Masam program.

In June alone, the project managed to dismantle a total of 4,899 mines, contributing to a cumulative count of 405,818 cleared mines since the program's inception. These mines, planted indiscriminately by the Houthi militia across Yemen, have posed a significant threat to the lives of innocent individuals, including children, women, and elderly.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief and the Masam project, remains dedicated to clearing mines from Yemeni territory, thereby playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Yemeni citizens.
