Informed sources said that Sadiq Al-Rumaima, who works in the police department of Hajdah, in Taiz province, has been involved in the brutal rape of a 14-year-old girl inside the adjacent Awqaf building to the police department on August 16th.
This has sparked strong anger and condemnation among the local residents, who have demanded the apprehension and punishment of the perpetrator.
Informed sources reported that the appointed security director of Maqbana, Malik Al-Mutaharri, who is affiliated with the Houthis, is attempting to cover up the heinous crime, which falls within the series of crimes and violations against human rights and children's rights witnessed in the besieged Taiz province for the past 8 years by the Iran-backed Houthis.
The sources have clarified that members of the Hajdah police department recorded the crime scene upon its discovery using their personal phones. However, the security director of Maqbana forced them to delete all recorded videos to prevent them from reaching the press and online platforms, thus exposing the perpetrator who has a close relationship with the Houthis and enjoys their protection.
