The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (KSrelief) Masam Project, dedicated to clearing mines in Yemen, successfully dismantled 826 Houthi mines in the third week of December 2023, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.
The tally includes five anti-personnel mines, 116 anti-tank mines, 681 unexploded ordnance, and one explosive device.
A total of 426,090 mines have been dismantled since the project’s inception.
Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, aims to clear Yemeni territories of all mines, which have caused the death and injury of innocent children, women, and the elderly.
