200 Sailors Set to Depart Yemen's Ras Isa Port Following US-Houthi Truce

Approximately 200 sailors aboard 15 stranded vessels near Ras Isa Port, north of Hodeidah, are preparing to unload their cargo and set sail, maritime and union sources confirmed. The move comes after the Houthi militia—designated as a terrorist group—agreed to a ceasefire deal with the U.S., pledging to halt attacks on American ships in the Red Sea.

Port officials reported that several ships began moving toward the dock as early as Thursday, following Washington’s announcement of suspended airstrikes in exchange for the Houthis’ cessation of maritime attacks.

According to Marine Traffic data, at least one fuel tanker has already approached the port to begin offloading operations. The vessels, mostly carrying fuel, had been stuck for weeks amid escalating tensions in the region.
