Tareq Saleh Vows Continued Struggle After Commander's Assassination

Brigadier General Tareq Saleh, leader of the National Resistance, has vowed that the sacrifices of martyrs will not be in vain following the assassination of Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh, a commander in the First Division of the National Resistance. Saleh described the killing, attributed to a "treacherous" act, as a targeted attack.

In a statement expressing deep sorrow over the loss, Brigadier General Saleh honored Wahesh's memory, describing his passing as a noble departure from the path of sacrifice. He commended the fallen commander's lifelong embodiment of heroism.

Saleh indicated that the assassination was carried out using a treacherous explosive device bearing the hallmarks of "Iranian arms." He stated that the device targeted the commander while he was fulfilling his duties, resulting in his death as he remained steadfast in his principles and struggle on his land among his fighters, advancing rather than retreating.

He further characterized the martyred commander as a paragon of courage and loyalty. Saleh asserted that the blood of Wahesh and other honorable individuals like him will continue to fuel the battle against misguidance and theocracy.

The leader concluded his condolences by offering prayers for Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh, asking for Allah's mercy and eternal paradise for him.
