Funeral services for Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are scheduled to commence in Tehran on July 4, with his burial to take place in the northeastern city of Mashhad on July 9, according to state media reports on Saturday.
Ayatollah Khamenei's death concluded a tenure of over three decades leading the Islamic Republic. He was reportedly killed in Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iran in February.
The funeral procession will begin in the capital city, Tehran, and then proceed to Mashhad for the final interment.
