The UN game to exploit the Yemeni youth

A number of Yemeni activits have expressed their resentment and anger at the activities and roles the United Nations carries out under the banner of Youth in Yemen.

These resentments came after the United Nations held a conference for the youth of Yemen, on Wednesday, and selectively took youth figures, for various considerations, organized by the Foundation for the Development of Young Leaders loyal to the Houthis.

During the seminar of the "Yemeni Youth Platform", which shared its outputs on its Facebook page, the well-known youth activist Saif Al-Haddi criticized the United Nations' exploitation of such conferences to implement the hidden agenda.

"The United Nations agenda is the soft stick that implements and applies a new Cicaspico in the Middle East". Al-Haddi said.

For his part, Jamal Al-Sabri, a Yemeni activit said "The alleged youth conference sponsored by the United Nations failed due to the lack of participation of young people in preparing the event, in addition to poor coordination with the authorities, which was the reason for canceling it in Aden".

As for the youth activist Rasha Kafi, she said: "Since the International Resolution 2250 was issued, five years ago, young Yemenis have not touched anything on the ground, and found nothing but conferences, seminars and workshops, all of which have nothing to do with the real purpose (...) they are just to invest in the name of the youth of Yemen".

The participating in the seminar of the "Yemen Youth Platform" expressed their deep dissatisfaction with the role and activities of the United Nations in Yemen under the banner of youth and peace.
