A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck Northern California on Tuesday evening, with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reporting the tremor occurred at 7:40 p.m.
The epicenter was located approximately eight miles from Healdsburg and five miles east-southeast of Cloverdale. The quake registered at a depth of 3.4 miles.
The USGS indicated that the earthquake produced light to moderate shaking. The intensity of the shaking was assessed as likely to cause very light damage at most.
