Fulham is reportedly preparing a massive club-record bid of €60 million for Real Madrid's talented striker Gonzalo Garcia, aiming to usher in a new era at Craven Cottage under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa.
After several seasons comfortably settled in the Premier League's mid-table, Fulham appears ready to significantly boost their ambitions following the departure of Marco Silva. New manager Alvaro Arbeloa, who previously managed Garcia at Real Madrid's youth academy, has identified the young striker as his primary transfer target.
Arbeloa worked closely with Garcia during his time with Real Madrid's Castilla team and even utilized him during a brief caretaker spell with the senior squad last season. Now, with Arbeloa at the helm in London, his top priority is to bring the promising number 9 to the Premier League.
According to reports from Marca, Fulham is open to various deal structures, including potentially acquiring 50% of Garcia's rights, allowing Real Madrid an option to buy him back or share in any future profits. The same report also suggests that Arbeloa is interested in another Castilla player, midfielder Cesar Palacios, who could join for a considerably lower fee.
