Glasner: Forest Ownership Vows to Keep Star Players Amid Transfer Speculation

Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that the club's ownership has committed to keeping their key players, assuring that no more starters will be sold after the departure of a significant figure.

The club, which experienced a dramatic shift from a strong start in the Premier League to a season narrowly avoiding relegation, is now under new leadership with Glasner aiming to rebuild. A crucial part of this strategy involves retaining their core talent.

Following a 2-0 friendly victory against Brest, Glasner addressed transfer speculation, stating, "It was clear after selling Elliot Anderson that none of our starters will leave the club. That’s a commitment from the ownership and no player has asked to leave the club."

While Anderson's departure was deemed an offer too good to refuse, the focus is now on securing the remaining talent, particularly Morgan Gibbs-White, who has been the subject of transfer rumors. Glasner emphasized that Gibbs-White's future is secure.

"[Gibbs-White leaving] was never a topic. We didn’t have to talk about it – it was a non-verbal agreement. We looked each other in the eye, because we want to be successful. If we want to strengthen the squad it makes no sense to sell starters," Glasner explained.

With the transfer window closing soon, it appears Glasner will have his top player available as he looks to guide Nottingham Forest back to a stronger position.
