Hugh Jackman in Talks to Buy Stake in Norwich City

Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman has confirmed he's in discussions to acquire a stake in Championship club Norwich City.

The actor, 57, revealed his significant interest in becoming a minority shareholder in the Canaries, stating he is "very, very interested" and actively pursuing the investment. Jackman shared his excitement about the club's potential, despite a challenging start to their Championship season.

Jackman, who has family roots in Norwich, expressed his admiration for current manager Philippe Clement. He affirmed that he has no plans to replace Clement if his investment proceeds, praising the manager's work and predicting an exciting year for the team.

His connection to Norwich City originates from his mother, Grace, who was born in the city. Jackman has supported the East Anglian club since childhood and previously regretted declining an offer to invest in 2010. Now, with Mark Attanasio as the majority owner, new talks have opened the possibility for the famous actor to join.

Should Jackman complete the acquisition, it could lead to a unique Hollywood showdown in the Championship against his "Deadpool & Wolverine" co-star Ryan Reynolds, who co-owns Wrexham. Jackman playfully acknowledged Reynolds' venture, joking, "Good on Ryan, you do your thing, I’m all about the Canaries," while also expressing optimism for both Norwich and Wrexham's promotion chances to the Premier League.
