European nations will be represented at upcoming discussions concerning Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, as confirmed by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot. The talks are scheduled to take place next week.
Barrot stated in an interview with French radio station RTL that Europe would have a significant presence. "The Europeans will be well represented; France will be in Abu Dhabi to take part in these discussions," he announced. He further indicated that while the specific French representative had not yet been finalized, France's attendance was assured.
The initiative to convene these high-level discussions was announced by US envoy Steve Witkoff. He confirmed on Monday that Washington would facilitate meetings between delegations from Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11.
The agenda for the Abu Dhabi meetings is expected to cover a range of critical issues, including strategies for ending Russia's ongoing conflict with Ukraine, the establishment of post-war security arrangements, and measures for de-escalation.
