In an incident that is the first of its kind, the Iran-backed Houthis devised a new system to loot the property and money of citizens.
A leaked document obtained by Yemen Details reveals that a citizen, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Haifi, a Yemeni businessman pledged to the Houthi militia to abide by law and order in exchange for regaining his house that was looted by the Houthis, which reveals the injustice, and horror that the Yemeni citizen experiences in the militia areas on a daily basis.
The document, in which Al-Haifi pledged to the leader of the Houthis to abide by the law, showed the illogical mindset that the militia deal through.
The document indicates that the Houthis, in agreement with their leader, looted the property of citizens under various pretexts, and then demanded the rightful owner to appeal to Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, who in turn mastered the role of a savior, and directed the return of rights to their owners, with the aim of attempting to change the popular perception of, the Houthis who know about the people.
Citizens wonder if looting citizens’ property is legal, so that others can abide by the originally illogical Houthi law that imposed on the people?
