"Masam" Project Dismantles 1,092 Houthi Mines in Yemen during First Week of July

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's project for clearing mines (Masam) in Yemen demined 1,092 mines during the first week of July 2020, including 3 antipersonnel mines, 298 anti-tanks, 744 unexploded ordnance, and 17 explosive devices.

Since the beginning of the project, as many as 172,823 mines have been dismantled after they had been planted by Houthi militias, in Yemen, claiming lives, serious injuries or amputation of children, women and the elderly.
