The Houthi group is putting pressure on the banking sector in its areas of control, taking advantage of the fact that the majority of banks have their main centers in Sana’a, and this is one of the group’s sources of strength in its economic war.

The facilities provided by the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait were in the name of Black Diamond Company, which also transferred funds to more than one company, including Al-Sharafi Oil Derivatives Trading Company.

The Black Diamond Company also collects the funds of its sales of oil derivatives and transfers it through the account of the Sweid Exchange Company at the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait, which contributes to illegal enrichment operations and granting credits to fictitious Houthi companies.
