The Iran-backed Houthis have been desperate in their attempts to advance to the southern governorates again, and the militia did not provide all methods for this, including the use of their relations with terrorist and criminal groups and elements for operations in support of them there.
Reliable sources said that the Houthis sent members of Al-Sabihah and Al-Agahberah from Sana’a to their areas in Lahj and Aden governorates to form assassination cells and to collect information for recruitment in the southern governorates.
The formation of these cells was entrusted to one from Al-Sabihah, Taha Salem Mohammed Al-Subaihi, who is considered one of the most extremist elements that have been attracted to the ideology of the Houthis and the most dangerous ideological elements affiliated with the militias in Lahj governorate.
According to the sources, he was able to form a nucleus for terrorist cells in Lahj from elements who received courses in Sana’a, they are : Hazz'a Saleh Al-Qusiri, Ma'moun Al-Qusiri, Imad Fareed Al-Qusiri, Ahmed Ahmed Al-Qusiri, Basil Saleh Al-Qusiri, Adeeb Al-Qusiri, Ass'ad Ali Jabal Al-Aghbari, Mostahil Ahmed Ali Al-Shabiqi, Nabil Khaled Al-Qusiri.
Figures in the Supreme Council of the Southern Revolutionary Movement and tribal figures in Mahra Governorate, such as Sheikh Ali Al-Huraizi, coordinate their activities directly with the so-called Qassem Al-Hamran (Abu Kawthar), the official in the Southern Governorates Department and the executive office of the Houthis.
The Supreme Council of the Southern Revolutionary Movement receives its financial support from Iran through its leaders who move between Lahj, Hadramawt and Oman, while Sheikh Ali Al-Huraizi is linked to the Qatari side as he receives funding and direction, as well as Omani facilities with regard to transportation and communication.
