Arab Coalition Reveals 'Areas of Operations' in Yemen, Urges People to Stay Away

The Saudi-led Arab coalition revealed on Saturday regions in Yemen that it said were areas of its military operations, urging people to stay away for their safety.

Coalition spokesman Turki Al-Malki said people are urged to avoid the roads leading from the Marib and al-Bayda provinces to the districts of Harib, Ain, Bayhan and Asailan, starting 3 pm on Saturday and until further notice.

These areas are being monitored around the clock by the coalition and any movement along the roads will be a considered a target, he added.

Earlier this week, the Yemeni government liberated the Shabwah province from the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

The legitimate forces were now making advances on Harib in Marib.

Field sources told Asharq Al-Awsat on Saturday that the Giants Brigades were close to liberating the area.

The Brigades have made advances on three major positions as they worked closely with the national army, which is in turn advancing in southern Marib towards Harib and al-Jawiya.
