The IEDs war reveals the increased conflicts within the Iran-backed Houthis

The Iran-backed Houthis have intensified their spread in the center of the Yemeni capital, and sat up checkpoints, following explosions targeting separate areas in Sanaa.

Local residents said that they heard several explosions, caused by improvised explosive devices, in separate areas of the capital, Sanaa, especially Al-Sabeen area, which reflects that there is a developing conflict within the Houthi rebels.

Security sources said that the explosion that hit Al-Sabeen area in front of Alayah police station was targeting a security official who was on a visit to the station. The sources suggested that Ali Hussein Al-Houthi the son of the founder of the group was the target. It caused damage to the nearby buildings and shops.

The intensified conflict within the group, which reached the point of clashes with firearms last week, that developed into targeting with IEDs, confirms the authenticity of the security and intelligence reports during the recent period. Identical sources said.

The sources confirmed that the explosions were huge, and only a specialized team within the Houthi group is skilled in their manufacture, who underwent training in their manufacture by experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRG).

Political observers see that the Houthis' use of IEDs in the internal conflict is not new, especially since they have used these IEDs to target many activists and politicians in separate areas of Yemen, the latest of which was the targeting that took place in Aden.
