The capital Sanaa, and the areas under the control of the Iran-backed Houthis are witnessing a state of outrage, following the revelation of the group's intention to declare a "State of Emergency" aimed at forced recruitment targeting different age groups of the Yemeni people.
Multiple sources in Sanaa said that discontent has spread to wide popular sectors among the population in the capital, in light of a widespread Houthi mobilization for fear of angry popular reactions, from the escalating Houthi provocations against the people.
The Iran-backed Houthis are preparing to declare a state of emergency, aimed at obliging citizens of all ages to go to fight with them. Yemeni sources in the capital, Sanaa said.
The sources, who preferred not to be mentioned, said that the head of the so-called political council, Mahdi Al-Mashat and his office manager, Ahmed Hamed, put the final touches on a law called the “emergency law”, which may come to light soon, forcing everyone who has reached the age of fourteen years to go to the battlefronts.
The Iran-backed Houthis have introduced strict measures in many sectors and institutions to suppress citizens, in addition to impose compulsory royalties for the so-called war effort. The sources said.
Activists on social media platforms launched a wide campaign calling for revolution against the arbitrary measures and decisions of the Houthi militia to impose forced conscription through the so-called "State of Emergency".
