The Iran-backed Houthis have displaced the residents of five villages in Al-Jarahi District, of Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen, and forced them to leave their homes. Local sources reported.

Local sources and residents said that the Houthis forced the residents of the villages of (Ghashwa, Bani Shuaib, Al-Aqda'ah, Bani Khalouf and Al-Khabt" in the Al-Jarahi district, claiming that they were war zones, despite their distance from the areas of military operations. They planted landmines in different areas of those villages.

The militia had turned a number of homes and villages of the displaced citizens into military areas for the Houthi leaders and supervisors. The sources added.

The terrorist Houthi militia committed brutal violations and attacks against citizens and villagers in a number of districts in Hodeidah Governorate, and turned a number of homes of forcibly displaced citizens into military barracks, while randomly planted landmines and booby-trapped other houses.
