Security sources revealed the intensification of disputes among the leaders of the Iran-backed Houthis, following accusations of corruption and looting of public and private funds in favor of some Houthi leaders belonging to the governorate of Saada, amid mutual accusations between the leaders of Sanaa and Saada of creating crises in oil derivatives and household gas.
After the escalation of disputes between their leaders, the militia dismissed and transferred a number of security leaders to governorates other than the capital and reduced their powers. The sources told Khabar Agency.
The Houthis had dismissed the so-called Aziz Al-Jaradi (Abu Tariq), who was the director of security for the capital and the deputy interior minister in the militia government. The sources said.
In the same context, the Houthi militia imposed house arrest on the so-called Mutlaq Al-Marani (Abu Emad), who was the undersecretary of the Houthi National Security Apparatus, before the militia merged the national and political security apparatus into a new intelligence apparatus as the Security and Intelligence Service.
The sources confirmed that a number of Houthi militia supervisors from the second and third ranks, who were occupying positions to mobilize fighters and collect levies, were kidnapped and taken to the stronghold of the Houthi movement in Saada, and their fate is not known so far.
Other Houthi leaders were assassinated attributed to traffic accidents and others whose place of death was not clarified.
