The "Regain Yemen Initiative" (RYI) , calss on the Gulf Cooperation Council and the consultants in Riyadh, for the need to create a political atmosphere for dialogue, including the return of rights and property seized by the Houthi group as an essential step to reach the desired peace.
It expressed in a statement, that the sponsors of the consultations and the participants should bear in mind that reparation and the axis of transitional justice is a major axis that reflects the extent to which everyone is serious about reaching serious and successful solutions to the issue of looted private property and funds.
"It is unreasonable for the property, money and homes of Yemenis to be confiscated and looted by the Houthis, and this is being ignored in any dialogues or consultations, because returning the looted rights and property is a proof of the true intentions of all parties in peace". The (RYI) added.
"Despite these great efforts by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the great Yemeni aspirations to those who were invited in the Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations, the Houthis are still in the meantime confiscating many homes and properties".
The initiative called for the importance of involving those affected by the private sector in any dialogue or consultative process at the regional or local level, since the rights that have been plundered and the crimes committed against them do not have a statute of limitations, which is the key to reaching peace.
