Diplomatic and legal sources reported calls to freeze the assets of former President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and his sons, and his deputy, Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar and his sons, to recover any looted funds, and to open investigations about how they obtained those funds.
The sources reported that political and legal movements are working to demand the freezing of those funds obtained by Hadi and his sons and Ali Mohsen and his sons through illegal means and illegal gain through corruption, looting of public money, and illegal wealth.
The sources stressed the necessity of freezing these funds and revealing their fate, size and the banks deposited in them so that they are not used by Hadi and his sons and Ali Mohsen and his sons to obstruct the political process in Yemen and efforts to reach peace.
