Security sources in the capital, Sanaa, which is controlled by the Houthi militia, reported that a social figure from Taiz Governorate (Al-Barkani) was attacked by a Houthi leader from Beit Al-Hamzi.
The security sources, who preferred not to be mentioned, indicated that "Al-Barakani" resorted to the police station to search for justice, but his complaint was rejected, because the complainant is from a Hashemite family, and because his summons to the police station requires higher instructions, and tried to imprison Al-Barkani, but the personalities of Other social conditions prevented this.
The sources said that the reason for the department’s refusal to redress the citizens, especially Al-Barkani is that the police stations have supreme directives, not to summon or imprison any figure belonging to the Hashemite families in the police stations or any of the facilities belonging to the Houthi Ministry of Interior, which is controlled by Abdul Karim Al-Houthi who is the uncle of the leader of the Houthi group.
The sources reported that the Houthi militia have, in recent days, arrested and imposed a siege on social figures and activists from the Taiz governorate, accusing them of communicating with leaders in legitimacy belonging to Taiz governorate, especially the liberated areas.
