Yemen's Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority has officially called upon Arab and foreign air transport companies and civil aviation authorities to resume or initiate direct flights to Aden International Airport. This directive aligns with government efforts to expand air navigation and enhance connectivity with regional and international destinations.
The authority issued a formal circular, based on instructions from the Minister of Transport, Mohsen Al-Omari, affirming that Aden International Airport is fully prepared in terms of technical, operational, and navigational capabilities. The airport continues to provide passenger services in accordance with approved international standards and regulations to ensure the safety and fluidity of air traffic.
It further indicated its readiness to offer all administrative and operational facilitations to companies interested in establishing new air routes. This initiative aims to broaden travel options to and from areas under the control of the internationally recognized government, thereby supporting the air transport sector and mitigating the air isolation impacting the country.
This invitation is part of broader efforts to revitalize air traffic through Aden International Airport, which stands as one of the country's primary operational air gateways, despite the existing operational challenges and the exceptional circumstances affecting Yemen's civil aviation sector.
