Motorcyclist Dies in Fall From Los Angeles Freeway Interchange

A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries after falling from a freeway interchange in Los Angeles onto a street below, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).


The incident took place around 11:20 p.m. on the expansive, curving connector road linking the eastbound 105 Freeway to the southbound 110 Freeway. The CHP reported that the vehicle involved was a solo motorcycle.


Emergency services were dispatched following a report from a caller who indicated that an individual had fallen onto the street below the interchange. The motorcyclist was discovered near the intersection of South Figueroa Street and West 117th Street.


Officials pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. The connector road was subsequently closed for investigation purposes until approximately 2:15 a.m.
