The Ministry of Finance has asserted that all its operations and decisions are grounded in institutional competencies and clear legal authorities, emphasizing its commitment to safeguarding public funds and fiscal discipline. The ministry stressed the independence of its regulatory and financial decisions, stating they are not influenced by considerations outside of legal or professional standards.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that it has recently implemented a series of oversight and financial measures. These actions involved reviewing numerous files to ensure their compliance with prevailing laws, regulations, and bylaws.
The ministry reaffirmed its dedication to performing its duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, prioritizing the public interest. It pledged to maintain objectivity, transparency, and good governance, applying established procedures to all files without exception.
Furthermore, the ministry reiterated its commitment to executing necessary measures to support fiscal reform, enhance the efficiency of public resource management, protect public funds, and solidify financial and institutional discipline within its legally prescribed scope of authority.
These efforts align with Presidential Leadership Council Resolution No. (11) of 2025 and government directives concerning the comprehensive economic reforms agenda. The ministry believes this approach will bolster the confidence of regional and international partners in state institutions.
The ministry also declared its continued professional, responsible, and independent execution of duties, pushing back against what it termed "systematic attempts and campaigns" to disrupt its institutional role. It affirmed its readiness to clarify any procedure or decision through official channels and within approved legal frameworks, ensuring the public's right to information and fostering trust in public institutions while upholding procedural integrity and confidentiality where the public interest dictates.
