Tareq Saleh Establishes Tihama Resistance as Independent Force, Appoints Zayed Manser Commander

Tareq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and commander of the National Resistance, has issued a decision to reorganize the Tihama Resistance, establishing it as an independent military force and appointing Major General Zayed Manser as its commander.

The decision mandates the formation of the Tihama Resistance force from the First and Second Brigades of the National Resistance. This move restructures the military framework of the Tihama forces, granting them an independent organizational and operational capacity.

According to the decree, the Tihama Resistance force will possess complete autonomy in financial, administrative, and operational matters. Its operational scope will be defined, while it will report directly to the Joint Operations Command of the Arab Coalition.

This decision is part of a broader effort to restructure and enhance the National Resistance forces, aiming to bolster the operational specialization of the Tihama forces and empower them to manage their missions more effectively within the operational theater of the West Coast.

The formation of the Tihama forces as an independent entity reflects a strategic redirection towards redistributing military roles and responsibilities. This is being implemented while maintaining their integration with the joint operations system, with the overarching objective of elevating coordination and readiness in confronting the Iran-backed Houthi militia.
