England Star Eyes Champions League Move Next Summer

Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is reportedly looking to push for a move to a Champions League club next summer, according to insider sources.

Despite signing a new contract last summer, the 26-year-old England international is believed to be eager to test himself at the highest level of European club football.

Sources cited by Football Insider suggest there is concern that Nottingham Forest may not be able to match Gibbs-White's ambitions, especially given the club's current struggles. Forest are currently 18th in the league after eight games, mirroring their relegation battle last season.

Former scout Mick Brown echoed these sentiments, stating, "Gibbs-White is a top player who will want to be playing at the highest level possible." He added, "He's played in Europe, he's played for England, and he will be determined to continue playing at the top level for club and country, and I’m not sure he’ll do that at Forest."

Brown suggested that if Forest's poor form continues, it would be difficult to imagine Gibbs-White not seeking a transfer in the near future, having already dedicated some of his prime years to the club.
