Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief as reports suggest captain Martin Odegaard is not a target for Bayern Munich, and the Gunners have a clearer path to potentially signing exciting winger Antonio Nusa.
Transfer expert Christian Falk has downplayed speculation linking Odegaard with a move to the German giants. While Bayern considered the Norwegian playmaker as a teenager, Falk states he is now "too old and far too good" for them, especially with their current midfield options. He recalled Odegaard training with Bayern when Pep Guardiola was manager, noting their past interest, but stressed it's no longer a realistic prospect.
Adding to the positive news, Falk also suggested that Bayern are not leading the race for RB Leipzig's highly-rated young winger, Antonio Nusa. Although Bayern admire the player, a transfer seems unlikely as Nusa, reportedly valued between £41.6m and £50m, would demand a starting role, which is more probable at Arsenal than at Bayern.
Falk confirmed Bayern's summer interest in Nusa, with Max Eberl being a big fan. However, the club was looking for a backup, not a guaranteed starter. Given Leipzig's investment in the 21-year-old, Falk doubts a transfer to Munich is imminent, though he didn't completely rule out future possibilities depending on Bayern's other player movements.
