Initial reports suggest two missiles struck Qeshm Island in southern Iran on Saturday, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency. Details regarding any potential damage have not yet been officially confirmed.
Tasnim news agency stated that more information would be provided upon confirmation by the relevant authorities. The state news agency IRNA had previously reported that eyewitnesses in the Suza area of Qeshm Island heard an aircraft before observing two projectiles impact the ground.
Separately, Qatar's International Media Office on Saturday refuted circulating reports claiming a failure in reaching an agreement between the United States and Iran to end their conflict. The office characterized these allegations as false and misleading.
Qatar's Prime Minister reportedly affirmed that both parties remain engaged in efforts to achieve an agreement. The statement concluded by noting that Qatar's mediation initiatives are continuing, in close collaboration with both Washington and Tehran, to facilitate ongoing negotiations.
