The sources indicated that AbdulMalik Al-Houthi, assigned a Zainabiya, called Ibtisam Al-Mahatwari, to that unit and oversees its operations and plans, in targeting girls, re-recruiting them to entrap political and social figures under its authority.

Last Friday, a human rights report revealed the Houthi militia’s violations against women during the past three years, accusing the group of arresting and hiding 1181 women during the aforementioned period and exposing them to killing, torture and rape.
The report, issued by the Coalition of Women for Peace in Yemen, the March 8 Bloc for Yemeni Women and the Yemeni Organization for Combating Human Trafficking, stated that it had documented 274 cases of enforced disappearance, and 292 arrests of activists, human rights defenders and from the education sector.
The report documented 246 cases of arrest of relief and humanitarian workers, 71 cases of rape and 4 suicides, and dozens of cases of male and female children who were detained with their detained mothers, while the number of girls detainees under the age of 14 reached more than 293 cases.
