Yemen's Mayoun condemns the execution of 9 civilians by Houthis

Yemen's Mayoun Organization (MHRD) strongly condemned the mass executions committed by the Iran-backed Houthis on Saturday, against 9 civilians, including a child, which it said based on unfair trials.

MHRD said that the executions were carried out in trials lacked the minimum conditions for a fair trial.

It considered the mass execution a major setback for human rights in Yemen and a dangerous decline in the level of violations committed by the Houthis, which does not care about the local and international laws that criminalize this heinous bloody act.

"This crime is heinous that did not meet the conditions of justice, it is a disgrace to the Houthis and a flagrant violation of all local and international laws that require punishing those who committed them despite warnings issued by local and international human rights organizations". MHRD added.

MHRD said that it will submit this horrific crime to the 48th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
