Two civilians were killed on Saturday, in the explosion of two landmines that the Houthi militias planted near residential areas in the village of Al Qataba, east of Al Khokha in the south of Hodeidah.
A medial source in Al Khokha said that the victims “Ahmed Abdo Qazan” and “Haitham Mohammed Sa’eed Jabali” were killed in the explosion of two landmines at two motorcycles while they were going for shopping, which led to the burning of the motorcycles and the tearing of their bodies to pieces. They died instantly.
The joint forces’ clearing teams started an operation to sweep the landmines and explosive devices that the Houthi militias left in the region.
The Houthi militias keep planting landmines and explosive devices in roads, farms and near civilians’ houses. These landmines and explosives kill hundreds of innocent civilians and wreck havoc in different directorates of Hodeidah province.
