Real Madrid Reportedly Agree Deal for Arsenal Midfielder

Spanish journalist claims Real Madrid have already secured a deal for Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi, potentially impacting the midfielder's future in January.

Despite a promising start after joining the Emirates a year ago, Zubimendi has found first-team opportunities limited this season, with manager Mikel Arteta boasting significant squad depth. The 27-year-old has yet to start a league or Champions League match, fueling speculation about a potential move.

While links to other clubs, including Chelsea, surfaced during the summer, Zubimendi remained with Arsenal. However, reports suggest that these rumors are set to resurface as the January transfer window approaches.

TeamTalk, citing Spanish sources, indicates that a move to Real Madrid is a done deal. A Spanish journalist shared on social media, "Zubimendi is going to be Madrid's signing in the winter. And, without being a great footballer, he is going to be a great signing. And Madrid will enjoy Güler more and compete more in serious moments."

Real Madrid, along with Chelsea, reportedly made contact with Arsenal over Zubimendi in the summer but opted against rushing a deal. If Zubimendi's lack of game time persists, he is expected to push harder for a transfer, with Madrid poised to capitalize on the situation.

Chelsea, facing their own midfield challenges, may regret not pursuing Zubimendi more aggressively earlier in the season, especially given their current limited options in the central positions.
